Reflections by Eric Aho - Finlandia Foundation Artist of the Year

Artist Eric Aho, Finlandia Foundation's Artist of the Year will present his work and talk about how Finnish culture and heritage has inspired him. Eric paints large, bold abstractions of nature that are rich in color and texture. His work is influenced by his Vermont surroundings and Finnish family roots, his Finnish-American experiences growing up in New England as well as studying and teaching in Finland. He will discuss these influences on his artistic thinking and work, particularly his recent paintings in the theme of "wild meadows," an English translation of his last name.
