Come experience this unique program designed to celebrate the diversity of cultural traditions and engage participants in a meaningful exploration of Navaratri, Yom Kippur, and Indigenous Peoples’ Day. This program offers a platform for reflection, celebration, and remembrance, highlighting the significance of these observances within their respective communities.
Navaratri, a Hindu festival celebrated over nine nights, signifies the triumph of good over evil and is dedicated to the worship of the goddess Durga. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the customs, rituals, and spiritual significance of Navaratri, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation for Hindu culture.
Yom Kippur, the Jewish Day of Atonement, is a solemn occasion for reflection, repentance, and seeking forgiveness. We will explore the themes of repentance, forgiveness, and reconciliation, where you can draw parallels to your own experiences of seeking forgiveness and making amends.
Indigenous Peoples’ Day honors and celebrates the diverse cultures, histories, and contributions of Indigenous peoples. In this program, participants will learn about the rich heritage and resilience of Indigenous communities, engage in dialogue about the importance of recognizing and preserving Indigenous wisdom and how it relates to shamanism.
