The Returning Citizens Affairs Division (RCAD) is leading the charge in transforming reentry efforts across Prince George’s County by uniting government, community, and private sector partners to maximize resources and opportunities for returning citizens. As the County’s central voice on the reentry ecosystem, RCAD is driving innovation, shaping best practices, and ensuring a coordinated strategy that improves outcomes for those reentering society. Key priorities include streamlining systems that support returning citizens, strengthening collaborations with nonprofit and faith-based organizations, and expanding partnerships at the county, state, and federal levels to increase access to essential services. RCAD is committed to fostering stronger community engagement, creating pathways for successful reintegration, and building a more inclusive, supportive environment. Through these efforts, Prince George’s County is setting a new standard for reentry success, empowering individuals to rebuild their lives and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
On April 19, 2025, RCAD is planning a where we will have a series of speakers and panel discussions exploring forward thinking approaches to reentry, celebrate success, policy reform, and fostering connections with local businesses and community-based organization in Prince George’s County that will lay the foundation for reentry going forward. Keynote Speaker, Assasta Thomas, Executive Director from the Office of Reentry Partnerships, City of Philadelphia. The MC of the day, Ronnette Rollins from 104.1. Food, Reentry Resources and more!!
Goal: To convene industry experts, community leaders, and key stakeholders to share insights, experiences, and resources that will empower reentry strategies in Prince George’s County. The symposium will focus on reducing recidivism and improving public safety by ensuring returning citizens have robust access to critical resources, comprehensive support, and meaningful opportunities.
