REEL TALK: Inside Out

The Mississippi Film Society is excited to partner with Aaron Bond Counseling on our on-going series, Reel Talk, a movie night with depth and conversation. We'll gather together to watch films that make you laugh, think, feel, or see life a little differently, then stick around afterward for an honest conversation about the themes behind the story and how they connect to real life. Good movies, good folks, and meaningful conversation. Next up...Inside Out (2015)!

Growing up can be a bumpy road…and it’s no exception for Riley, who is uprooted from her Midwest life when her father starts a new job in San Francisco. Like all of us, Riley is guided by her emotions – Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust and Sadness. The emotions live in Headquarters, the control center inside Riley’s mind, where they help advise her through everyday life. As Riley and her emotions struggle to adjust to a new life in San Francisco, turmoil ensues in Headquarters. Although Joy, Riley’s main and most important emotion, tries to keep things positive, the emotions conflict on how best to navigate a new city, house and school.

The Mississippi Film Society and Aaron Bond Counseling are pleased to invite you to a screening of and conversation about Inside Out on Thursday night, July 30th, at 7 pm at the Legacy Theaters Parkway (1075 Parkway Blvd, Flowood, MS 39232). Tickets are first-come, first-served and are limited to 4 per order. Concessions will be available for purchase at the screening.
