Reed's Reach for 15q13.3 inaugural conference
Saturday, October 3, 2026, at 1600 Market Street in Center City Philadelphia. 15q13.3 families and the researchers and clinicians who work on 15q13.3 will spend the day in the same building.
The morning will be four research talks: Dr. Christian Schaaf (Institute of Human Genetics, Heidelberg), Dr. Karun Singh (Krembil Research Institute, University Health Network, Toronto), Dr. Cora Taylor (Simons Searchlight / Geisinger), and Dr. Takahiro Soda (University of Florida).
In the afternoon, consult rooms will run alongside family peer sessions, small-group discussions on the hard topics, and a poster session. Consults will be fifteen minutes one on one: psychiatry, behavior, neuropsychology and school report review, and genetic counseling with the Simons Searchlight team. Searchlight will also draw blood samples on site for its research biobank, so families in the registry can give a sample at the conference instead of arranging a separate visit.
A full-day kids' program will run alongside the sessions so parents can attend.
Every research talk will be livestreamed and recorded, with English subtitles posted afterward.
All tickets are free. In-person registration closes September 19. Livestream registration closes October 2.
