Learn how to create multi-coloured linocut prints using the reduction method. This relief printmaking technique involves carving each layer of colour into the same block. More lino is removed from the block after each layer is printed. In this workshop Ann will guide participants through the process of carving and printing an image with three colours. Attendees will work on a 10 x 15cm lino block and create an edition of up to five prints on quality printmaking paper.
The workshop is suitable for beginner with some linocut experience. Participants may bring their own reference material or work from Ann’s collection of images. All materials and equipment provided.
