Redland City Council - Funding Pathways and Grant Writing Workshops

Explore funding opportunities and build practical grant writing skills to help turn your community project ideas into reality.
About this Event

Join Redland City Council and partners at the Redlands RSL (Gallipoli and Kokoda rooms), for a practical workshop designed to help community organisations build their funding knowledge and grant writing skills. The event includes two informative sessions, with attendees welcome to participate in both sessions or attend the session most relevant to their needs. Participants will gain valuable insights into available funding opportunities, grant application processes and practical strategies for developing stronger grant applications.

Please ensure you register for both workshops if you intend to attend both sessions.

• Session 1: Community Grants Funding Pathway Workshop (9am - 12pm)
Presented by Redland City Council's Community Grants Team, this session will provide an overview of Council grant programs and a range of external funding opportunities available to not-for-profit groups and community organisations. Participants will learn how to identify suitable funding pathways, understand eligibility requirements and access funding sources to support projects, programs, events and community initiatives.

• Session 2: Grant Writing Workshop (12.30pm - 3pm)
Presented by the Cleveland Rotary Club and partners and facilitated through Redland City Council's Strengthening Communities Team, this practical workshop will provide community groups with valuable advice and tips for preparing successful grant applications. Attendees will learn how to clearly highlight the community impact of their project, effectively demonstrate the need for funding, and confidently articulate the story behind their funding request to strengthen their application. To get the most out of this session, please bring a current or past application that you would like to review or discuss.

Participation in this workshop and any advice provided does not guarantee or influence the success of a funding application. All applications will be assessed independently against the published criteria of the funding provider.
