Despite farms' willingness to donate excess produce, there's a missing link between agricultural surplus and nonprofit organizations that could transform these ingredients into nourishing meals.

(re)DINE, in collaboration with ReCity Network, presents an innovative solution to this challenge. Through careful selection and strategic partnerships, we're creating a sustainable system that transforms surplus food into accessible, chef-crafted meals for Durham residents.

The Problem We're Solving: Food banks, CSA programs, TEFAP operations, and church pantries face significant challenges with food waste, particularly regarding quality protein, vegetables, grains, and value-added ingredients. (re)DINE bridges this gap by connecting these resources with experienced culinary experts. This food is then served during a beautifully orchestrated experience where every standard and donor tier meal purchased allows a Medicaid recipient to eat for free!

The excess food from the event is then composted or fed to animals on a local farm where the cycle repeats itself!

Donor Tier: $20 +

Annual Pass: $200

Your annual membership provides year-round access to (re)DINE's innovative dining experiences throughout 2025. Each pass includes admission for you and a guest, ensuring you are part of our ongoing mission to reduce food waste and create accessible meals for our Durham community.

When you purchase an annual pass, you receive a recipe named in your honor!

When you can't attend, your spot automatically converts to a 'pay it forward' meal, supporting our community members in need. This way, your commitment to fighting food waste continues even when you're unable to join us.
