A red wine lover's workshop to rediscover some classic and some lesser-known styles, and understand what creates the differences from one glass to the other.

Who doesn’t like to cuddle up with a good glass of red wine when the weather outside is windy and rainy? If you’re a self declared red wine lover, but unsure which style you like best , or if you always end up buying the same bottles because you don’t know how to describe what you enjoy - this workshop is for you!

We embrace the cosy season with an event dedicated to red wine. Through 5 glasses of French and Portuguese red wines, we will take a deep dive into the wonderful world of colour, tannins and extractions so that you leave with a renewed love for reds, and a new understanding of what shapes them - and most importantly, what you like best and how to describe it.

You'll learn about young vs old red wines, carbonic maceration, barrel aging and much more. By teh end of the workshop you'll know what to pair with food, what to drink with a good book and most importantly how to find it!

This is a great event for anyone who has an interest in red wine, especially French and Portuguese. The workshop is intended for complete beginners and intermediate alike, and requires no other pre-requisite than curiosity and a thirst for wine!

Attendance is limited to 12 people . Tickets are fully refundable up to 48 hours prior to the event, and partially up until 24 hours before.

The workshop will be run in English.

About your workshop host: My name is Anaïs, and I’m the owner and sommelier of Pépites, the new wine shop on Stargarder Straße. I come from a Michelin-starred restaurant background and previously worked as Head Sommelier at Restaurant Bricole in Berlin. I’m passionate about continuing to learn and have a pretty varied professional background – from tech and events to working with cheese. My areas of focus in the wine world include France, Portugal and Germany.
