Red Note Ensemble present an evening of new music showcasing works composed by Bekah Simms, a collaboration with French collective Les Harmoniques du Néon and two new works by Gillian Walker and Kate Sagovsky.
The programme features Embryonic, a powerful new work by acclaimed Canadian composer Bekah Simms, commissioned by Nouvel Ensemble Moderne and Red Note Ensemble. In Embryonic, Simms revisits fragments, gestures and sonic memories from her earlier works, transforming them into a compelling new piece for chamber orchestra.
French collective Les Harmoniques du Néon, present La Langue du Perroquet (The Parrot’s Tongue), which explores language as sound, imitation and distortion through voice, text and performance, and more.
The programme will also feature world premieres of two new works by Gillian Walker and Kate Sagovsky in collaboration with the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

Performance at 7.30-8.30pm
Ticket Information
£14 Standard /£10 (senior citizens)/£6 (jobseekers, full time students, disabled people)/Free (under 18, essential companions), and are inclusive of fees.
There is also an option to Pay What You Can (PWYC), so that no one is excluded because of their financial circumstances.
You can thus choose to pay less than the recommended ticket prices if you can’t afford them. You can also choose to pay more, helping to support our activities commissioning new work and supporting local musicians and young people.
