Red Cross Blood Drive

Let’s save some lives on Tuesday, June 23. We will be partnering with the American Red Cross to hold a blood drive from noon to 5 p.m. in the Lawson-Rain Chapel. The Red Cross has over 135 years of experience providing humanitarian aid, including more than 75 years of supplying blood to those in need. Each pint of blood we collect can help save up to three lives and will touch the lives of so many more. The community is invited to take part in this special event and donate blood for hospital patients in our neighborhoods and across the nation. The need for blood is constant, but only 3 percent of the U.S. population donates. By rolling up a sleeve, donors can play a critical role in the treatment of accident and burn victims, heart surgery and organ transplant patients, and those receiving treatment for leukemia, cancer, or sickle cell disease.
