ABOUT THE ARTISTS
James Walsh: Headliner
As the voice behind some of the most memorable British songs of the last two decades, James Walsh has earned a reputation as one of the UK’s most distinctive and emotionally resonant songwriters. With Starsailor, he achieved international success through acclaimed albums including Love Is Here, Silence Is Easy and On The Outside, producing enduring favourites such as Alcoholic, Good Souls and Four To The Floor.
For this intimate evening, James will perform two acoustic sets, carefully curated to include beloved Starsailor classics, solo material and selected cover versions. Presented in the unique atmosphere of The Monastery’s Great Nave, expect a captivating live music experience.
We Were Strangers: Special Guest
Opening the evening is special guest We Were Strangers, the project of Manchester songwriter Stefan Melbourne. Known for his cinematic and deeply evocative alternative folk sound, Melbourne has received widespread critical acclaim, with his music featured in Netflix trailers and praised by the UK music press.
What began as a solo project has grown into one of Manchester’s most compelling independent music acts. Following extensive touring across Europe, We Were Strangers released the acclaimed debut album Beneath A Broken Sky, produced by long-time collaborator James Kenosha.
