Recycled Rhythm Camp

Recycled Rhythms Camp: For kids who love banging on pots and pans, watching STOMP or the Blue Man Group, and turning trash into treasure! Kids will create a short performance of percussion and dance based on their favorite fairy tale characters! They’ll explore the heroic qualities of their characters, their characters’ connections with nature, and then create their own instruments and costumes from repurposed stuff. Through drum circles and movement activities, they will develop skills in improvisation and composition. Thematically, we’ll explore the power of storytelling to inspire audiences to be better stewards to the planet.
