We're a little less than a month away form our annual drive to collect used bicycles! Partnering with South Mountain Velo Club, the St. James Youth Group will gather used bicycles and cycling equipment in the St. James parking lot behind the church, located at 109 York St., from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 12 for a collection for Recycle Bicycle Harrisburg.
Recycle Bicycle Harrisburg is a volunteer-based organization that restores used bicycles to working condition, then provides them at no cost to those in need of transportation or recreation. This also helps keep bikes from rusting away in landfills!
If you would like to donate a bike but cannot bring it the day of the drive, please contact Adam at [email protected] and we will try to help with pickup and storage. Our space is limited, so please only utilize this if you're unavailable on Oct. 12.
