Our Keynote Speaker, Deanne Gagnon, will focus on People Skills
The Human Skills That Help Teams Thrive Through Change
Technology and expectations keep shifting, but human needs remain the same. This
keynote highlights the leadership skills that matter most in fast-changing
environments: clarity, communication, consistency, and compassion. Leaders leave
feeling more grounded and better equipped to support confidence, mental well-
being, and adaptability.
Presentations include:
- The YES Employer Relations Coordinator team will highlight the free supports and services available to local businesses to help you recruit and retain staff.
- Thunder Bay Chamber of Commerce; President, Charla Robinson will provide an update on the state of business.
- The Thunder Bay Economic Development Commission; Workforce Development Officer Stacey Platt will speak about Immigration in the workforce.
- North Superior Workforce Planning Board; Executive Director, Gary Christian will take an in-depth look at Labour Market information in the Region.
- St. Joseph's Care Group; Stacey Gleeson and Shabna Yaddanapudi will provide information about the Ontario Structured Psychotherapy Program
Exhibit booths and a hands on break-out exercise will round out the conference with a focus on recruitment and retention pain points and shared strategies and practices that can help solve them.
