Recovery Spring Break

We decided on Asheville for our Spring 2025 trip a week before the devasting Hurricane Helene hit Asheville and surrounding areas. We debated changing locations and then talked to some locals who said it could be a great opportunity for students to do some locally targeted service work if that is something folks would like to do. The house we booked did not go through any damages as a result of Helene, it is also okay if students want to come on the trip as a time to rest before finishing out the semester.

There will be some questions gauging interest in the service work component of the trip during registration. Let Rams in Recovery staff know if you have questions or ideas on how we can be helpful while in the area. There is a well-known robust recovery community in the area as well, so there will be opportunities to connect with mutual aid meetings during the trip.
