- 3Objectives:

1) Explore the impact of addiction and mental health issues on the entire family system and workplace environment.

2) Understand the concept of recovery for loved ones of those struggling with addiction and/or mental health.

3) Develop supportive strategies and referral pathways to connect families with appropriate recovery resources and services.

Nick Overbeck is a licensed professional counselor supervisor and licensed chemical dependency counselor with over a decade of experience in the mental health and substance use treatment field. He is the owner of Highway to Heal Counseling, a private practice in Colleyville, and a Clinical Consultant for Arise Recovery Centers. For the past decade, Nick has worked in various settings, including developing a college-based treatment program, crisis and suicide hotlines, inpatient substance use treatment, college counseling, intensive outpatient counseling, and private practice. As someone in family recovery himself, Nick is passionate about helping those on both sides of the recovery journey from both addiction and mental health.
