Recovery City Documentary Film Screening
About this Event
This film screening will take place in the Lecture Hall at the Cambridge Public Library Main Branch. Doors open at 5:45pm, and the film will begin at 6:15pm. Light refreshments will be available.
The Lecture Hall is on lower level L2 in the new glass and steel building. Youth under 18 are welcome to attend with a parent or guardian. Please be aware that the film contains sensitive topics such as substance use and recovery, trauma, and incarceration.
About the Film:
A raw exploration of what it means to be in recovery as seen through the eyes of four women whose lives share a common thread: addiction, in Worcester, Massachusetts. In this portrait of resilience, grit, and camaraderie, the women use their lived experience to lift up those still struggling while refusing to give up hope. Click here to learn more.
Accessibility:
The Lecture Hall is elevator accessible. There are ramps in the room, and there are a few gaps in the seating area with room for wheelchairs.
Getting Here:
Parking is available at the library in an underground parking garage with access from Broadway. The library is about a 10-minute walk from the Harvard Square T Stop, and is accessible by the 86, 68, and 69 buses.
