Reconnect & Restore: A Movement and Connection Experience in Nature

Enjoy the last bit of summer and sun and join us for "Reconnect & Restore: A Movement and Connection Experience in Nature" on Sunday, October 13th , from 12:00-2:00 PM ET at Liberty State Park in Jersey City, NJ. The exact location in the park will be shared the night before via email.

We will engage in fun and grounding activities designed to reconnect you with yourself, the group, and the natural world.

Expect to be barefoot and immerse yourself in a variety of different activities such as toe yoga (did you know it's a thing?), mindful walking, movement and stretches to improve joint mobility (body hurting a bit too much from work?), and carefree games that awaken your inner child (when was the last time you played tag?).

We will also engage in creative exercises using natural elements like sticks and trees and experience the thrill of a nature walk that sharpens your senses. These are just some of the many things that we will be getting up to during this two hour journey!

Whether you're looking to focus on your well-being, foster deeper connections, tap into your inner child, or simply enjoy the joy of nature-based fun, this event offers something for everyone. No experience necessary—just a willingness to explore and have fun!

Bring a friend and pack water and a lunch to hang out and connect afterwards.

Note:

You are not obgliated to participate in any exercise or movement that you do not feel comfortable in. I am here to ensure that we are all in a welcoming space and feel comfortable at all times.

Location: Liberty State Park (exact location to be shared the night before via contact information provided during sign-up). We will be outside in the grass. Bring bug spray, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, rain jacket, to be prepared for whatever weather there will be. Rain or shine.

Cost: Donation-based (recommended $5-25/person sliding scale). Payment options through Eventbrite or cash in person.

- 1:00-2:00: Movement & Connection Exercises

- 2:00+: Hang out & connect over lunch with new & old friends!

More About Alex

Hi everyone, my name is Alex and I am super excited to be bringing this event to the area! I have led this event in Asheville, North Carolina and in the U.K. and had huge successes in both areas. I recently left my corporate jobs in 2021 after 12+ years to focus on my health and travel the world. I have since then been volunteering at different communities, farms, eco-villages and learning more about what brings me joy in life. After this time away from work, I realized that I was so disconnected from myself, others, and nature while I was in my corporate job and started to immerse myself in a different way of life which brought me closer to myself, others, and nature. I am passionate about health & wellness, movement, connection, and love to bring more laughter and childlike play into my everyday life. My goal is to to create more of a community in the Tri-State area that have similar interests and passions so I am hoping these events do that - bring some laughter, joy, and curiosity into our lives! I have taken a variety of different exercises and activities from different retreats and classes all around the world that have resonated with me and decided to incorporate them into this experience - super excited! I also empower individuals to tape into their power to heal and become their true, authentic selves and offer one on one coaching programs.
