Recollections of the Old Warren County Health Camp
From 1923 until the late 1970s, the Warren County Health Camp on Gurney Lane in Queensbury was a summer fixture for generations of local children, counselors, and staff. Now, the Warren County Historical Society invites anyone with memories of the camp to join us for an afternoon of reconnection and storytelling.
Warren County residents who attended as campers, worked as counselors, or served on staff are welcome to come share their recollections with fellow alumni of the camp. Dr. Stan Cianfarano, Warren County Historian, and Teri Rogers, WCHS Executive Director, will open the program with historical background on the camp's nearly five decades of operation.
Attendees are then invited to join an open panel discussion to share their own stories, memories, and photographs. Displays featuring narrative history, archival photos, and newspaper articles from the camp's history will be on view throughout the event.
This is a free, walk-in event open to all ages — no ticket or registration required.
Refreshments will be provided.
