GRIEF – DOORWAY TO LOVEGrief has many faces, the death of a loved one, miscarriage, illness, loss of home, betrayal, health challenges, unmet needs, ancestral trauma, ecological grief, social upheaval, and the quiet loneliness of isolation. This gathering is a safe and sacred space to honor grief in all its forms.
Together we will:
• Join in a grounding meditation
• Share stories, witnessing without fixing (optional, if you don’t feel comfortable sharing, this is okay)
• Create an altar of remembrance with photos, objects, and symbols
• Express and release grief through words, movement, or silence
• Sit with loss in a deeply immersive sound and gong sound bath
• Option to have hands-on healing during sound bath
• Use Hoʻoponopono an ancient Hawaiian practice of forgiveness and reconciliation
• Close with gratitude, loving kindness, and gentle hope
Ground Rules:
• We hold space, we witness, we do not fix.
• Your boundaries matter — if you do not want touch, honour and express that.
• All grief is welcome here.
What to Bring:
• A photo or object for the altar (optional)
• Journal/notebook if you wish to write
• Comfortable clothing, blanket or cushion for rest (yoga mats and blankets are already available at location, but if you need a special comfort blanket please bring)
We end in gratitude — giving thanks for our loved ones, for our past selves, and for the struggles that shaped us. Together we recognise our ability to touch light again, to weave new rituals, and to return to a deeper wholeness after loss.
