Reclaiming the Inner Child: A Healing Workshop
About this Event
Many of us had to grow up before we were ready.
Perhaps we became responsible for other people’s feelings, learned to anticipate the needs of the adults around us or took on roles that were too large for a child. We may have become capable and independent, but lost touch with something essential along the way.
Our inner child carries more than childhood wounds. It also holds our natural capacity for joy, playfulness, curiosity and love.
This experiential workshop is an invitation to honour what hurt while reconnecting with the living, joyful energy of the child within you.
Drawing on Family Constellations principles, guided meditation and gentle movement, we will explore how to:
- Recognize responsibilities you may have taken on too early
- Meet childhood wounds with compassion without letting them define your inner child
- Reconnect with joy, playfulness and aliveness
- Become more available to tenderness, love and support
This workshop may be for you if:
- You had to become responsible or self-sufficient at an early age
- You were expected to care for or emotionally support others
- Play, rest or receiving attention can feel uncomfortable
- Inner-child work has seemed focused only on pain
- You long for greater tenderness and ease with yourself
What to expect
This is a small, experiential group workshop rather than a traditional Family Constellations circle. It includes guided meditations, reflective moments, constellation-based exercises and gentle movement practices.
Some exercises may offer optional, supportive physical contact with another participant. All contact is consensual, and every exercise can be adapted to be practised without touch.
No previous experience is necessary. Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move and sit or lie down with ease.
