RECLAIMING SPACE: Rebel Dykes

RECLAIMING SPACE is a series of three screening events alongside Four Corners' exhibition, 'A Story of Squatters'. The series explores themes of Queer, green, migrant and feminist spaces, and the intersections in-between them.

Join us for a rip-roaring motorbike ride through this documentary, that follows a tight-knit group of friends who met at Greenham Common peace camp and went on to become artists, performers, musicians and activists in London. Utilising animation, archive footage and interviews, this film tells the story of a radical Queer and feminist scene: squatters, BDSM nightclubs, anti-Thatcher rallies, protests demanding action around AIDS and the fierce ties of chosen family. This is an extraordinarily privileged glimpse into a bygone world by those who not only lived out their politics with heartfelt conviction but lived to tell the tale.

PLEASE NOTE: this film is rated 18 and so is not suitable for those aged under 18 years.

The screening is taking place in Four Corners' First-Floor Studio which is up two flights of stairs, so is not accessible to those with mobility issues.
