About this Event
Like the seed of a plant, the unique seed of our soul lies within each one of us before birth. It already knows what we can be! If we are properly nourished and supported along the way our actualization might be easy.
But more often life gets in the way. Trauma, difficult experiences, and life’s hardships might lead us to feel stuck in the cold of winter. Your nervous system might have chosen a freeze response in order to cope.
What are you pushing through, and what do you need to see the light?
As spring always emerges, your body and heart know the true way forward to push through the frozen/stuck parts, and bloom. Join me on a five-part, movement-based expressive arts journey as we utilize the psychokinetic imagery process to re-imagine the body as a flower, plant, or tree.
Together we'll explore:
1. The roots of our ancestors in our legs and feet
What ancestral messaging do I want to carry forward, and what to leave behind?
2. Our unique seed in the pelvis
What pulls me off center, and what recenters me?
3.The stem/spine that nourishes and supports us
What do I need to grow?
4. Our blossoming heart
How does the heart lead differently than the head?
5. The pollination/gifts we share with the world through our head, arms and hands
What are my true gifts, and who am I facing when I give them?
Together we will reclaim our deepest nature. We’ll take the path to individuation via a ground-up, arts-based, somatic exploration of the whole body. We will utilize movement, drawing, and writing as our primary art mediums, but no dance/movement or art experience is required. Workshops can be taken individually, or as a series in its entirety (recommended).
