About this Event
Reclaim your inner radiance and start the new year with a day of healing, connection, and authentic self-expression. This unique women’s retreat, co-facilitated by Kim Lange and Riyah Thor, combines the quiet power of mindfulness meditation with the expressive freedom of embodied movement. Together, we will explore practices that invite deep relaxation, authentic connection, and a profound release of what no longer serves us.
Throughout the retreat, you will:
**Engage in mindfulness meditation** to cultivate a deep state of presence and self-awareness.
**Move with intention through somatic dance** to release tension, awaken vitality, and express emotions stored in the body.
**Nurture your spirit** through community sharing and connection with other like-minded women in a serene, safe environment.
This retreat is designed to help you reconnect with your most radiant, compassionate, and liberated self. Whether you are seeking to release stress, reconnect with your body, or simply take time to nurture your soul, this daylong retreat offers a beautiful space to do just that.
Join us at Kim’s tranquil retreat space in North Mount Pleasant for a nourishing experience that will leave you feeling centered, recharged, and ready to embrace life with renewed joy and clarity.

Kim Lange (she/her) is a filmmaker, photographer, producer, curator, and mindfulness facilitator from Hawai’i and California based in Charleston, South Carolina. She is passionate about using art to build bridges and cultivate meaningful connections in large and intimate spaces, as well as fostering mental wealth in creative communities and beyond. In her work for groundbreaking organizations such as Brave New Films, Google, and the San Francisco Symphony, Kim has produced film and video projects exploring topics ranging from social justice and war profiteering to augmented reality and new frontiers in orchestral music.
Kim has been practicing mindfulness meditation for over 25 years and is currently studying with Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach in partnership with the Awareness Training Institute and the Greater Good Science Center at the University of California, Berkeley. She also serves on the board of Mental Health Heroes, which supports the work of the Charleston Dorchester Mental Health Center, and is on the Advisory Board of Art With Impact, a nonprofit that promotes mental wellness by creating space for young people to learn and connect through art and media. Riyah Thor (she/her) is a professional coach, (internal) wilderness guide, and artist. With over 12 years of experience supporting women one on one, in group workshops, and in the wild, she has dedicated my life to learning and sharing the art(s) of somatic reconnection so we can all live more fully alive. Riyah believes that authentic expression leads to a more beautiful, vibrant, and sustainable world. When we know how to get our needs met and give to others, our communities thrive.
"At 17, I asked the universe how to heal. I heard one word: “dance”, so I did. This started my movement journey, and eventually led me to discover dance therapy as a practice and career path, and I’ve been dancing ever since.
I’ve studied for 8+ years with Soma Source, a movement-based rites of passage organization, as well as trauma de-escalation training with Katie Asmus to further support body and mind together." Learn more about Riyah here.
