Join Northamptonshire Rape Crisis as we Reclaim the Night.
On Friday 22nd November we will take to the streets to raise our collective voices against sexual violence and harassment. This event will mark the beginning of 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence.
ALL WELCOME!
Reclaim the Night is an opportunity for everyone to get involved and speak out against gender-based violence.
Wrap up warm and bring banners, placards, megaphone, chants, songs and friends....
As always the march starts from the Barry Road/Wellingborough Road Co-Op car park, where free hot drinks will be provided by the Co-Op Pioneers.
Join us at 6.30, we will leave the car park at 6.45 led by local women drummers. We'll march down Wellingborough Road, along Abington Street and onto All Saints Square.
If you are unable to join us please place a candle in your window to remember all those impacted by sexual violence.
Alongside the public this event is supported by many local organisations, including Voice, Northamptonshire Domestic Abuse Service (NDAS), Eve, Sunflower Centre and Serenity (SARC).
Reclaim the Night takes place across the world each year during 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, which runs each year from 25th November (International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women) until 10 December (International Human Rights Day).
