Receiving a diagnosis of MS can feel overwhelming. There’s a lot of information, a lot of emotion, and often a sense that you’re expected to “just get on with it”.

This in-person event is a friendly space to ask questions, share experiences, and get useful tips on managing life with MS. Whether you're looking for advice or want to connect with others, this event's for you. Come along and take the first step towards understanding your new journey!

Who Is This Event For?

People diagnosed with MS within the last two years, and their partners, family members, or close supporters (1 per attendee; numbers are limited)

No prior knowledge needed. No pressure to speak.

What We’ll Cover

✔ Self-management and why small steps matter
✔ Hearing from people living with MS – real experiences
✔ Support available locally and online
✔ How to avoid feeling like you must navigate MS alone

There will be space for questions, reflection, and informal conversation.

What to Expect on the Night

• A warm, welcoming environment

• Short talks with regular breaks

• Lived experience voices alongside medical

• Clear signposting to support and resources

• Time to chat, listen, or sit quietly if you prefer

Hot savoury afternoon tea will be served from 5 pm; the event starts at 5.30 pm prompt.

MS Society Scotland is delivering this in partnership with MSS Inverness local group colleagues from NHS Highlands, alongside people who live with and are affected by MS.
