Recent Excavations at Wandlebury Hillfort

Following a long history of research at Wandlebury by the Department of Archaeology, a new series of excavations began in 2024 to investigate the hillfort. This talk explores the latest archaeological discoveries and analysis including excavations in the interior of the hillfort, its eastern entrance and the macabre find of a burial pit which contained the remains of at least ten individuals. This talk will contain discussions of death and violence and images of human remains.
