Do you want a reliable recall and a well-socialized puppy? Well, you have come to the right place. This puppy course is filled with recall games, engagement, play training and will ensure your puppy gets the right start in both recall and socialization skills.
Recall Training:
*We believe in starting early in your puppy's life to establish a solid foundation and prevent future recall issues.
*A solid recall can be a lifesaver in unexpected situations, such as a loose dog approaching or if your dog is in danger.
*Knowing you can reliably call your dog back to you provides peace of mind and allows you to relax during walks and playtime.
*Recall training enables you to enjoy off-leash activities with your dog, fostering a stronger bond and enriching their life.
*A reliable recall is vital for your dog's safety in public spaces, around other animals, or if they escape your immediate control.
Socialization:
The "sensitive period" for socialization is generally considered to be between 3 and 16 weeks of age, with the most critical period being 3-12 weeks. During this time, puppies are highly receptive to learning and forming positive associations. It's important to note that some puppies may have an extended socialization period, potentially up to 20 weeks, depending on breed and individual factors.
Socialization is a vital part of puppyhood that has a lasting impact on a dog's behavior, emotional well-being, and overall quality of life. By providing positive and varied experiences during the critical socialization period, owners can help their puppies grow into confident, well-adjusted, and happy adult dogs.
In this course puppies will learn to recall around each other as well as recall from social interactions. They will also learn appropriate social skills.
This program is on-going until dogs are 20 weeks of age. We also encourage puppies to enter our Puppy Basic Obedience Program to continue learning all basic obedience foundational skills.
Dogs in this program are 8-20 weeks but small breed dogs may be accepted up until 1 year old.
