Please Help Us Rebuild Our Family Wheelchair Van
Our family is in urgent need of help. Our wheelchair-accessible van—our only reliable way to get to Boston for medical appointments and for Mom to get to and from work—has broken down. It has only 62,000 miles, but last month the check engine light came on, and we received devastating news:
A new transmission will cost $4,800,
A rebuilt transmission is $4,000,
And on top of that, the van also needs a new gas line.
This comes right after we already replaced the battery and repaired the gas module. As if that wasn’t enough, our stove stopped working on Thanksgiving. We are a large family living off Mom’s income alone, and we are doing everything we can just to get by.
Any and all help will go directly toward repairing the wheelchair van and getting it safely back on the road. This van is our lifeline, and restoring it means we can continue making essential trips for medical care and everyday life.
