Join us for February's event: we'll explore the theme of LONGEVITY through the book "Jellyfish Age Backwards" by Nicklas Brendborg
About this Event

Welcome to the RBC Manchester event, where we'll be diving into Febuary's theme, LONGEVITY, through this month's read, Jellyfish Age Backwards: Nature's Secrets to Longevity, by Nicklas Brendborg.

Jellyfish Age Backwards is “a highly-entertaining journey through the science of longevity. Why we age and what we can do about it, explained in a clear and captivating way. A wonderful book” - Dr Kris Verbugh, Author of The Longevity Code

Inspired by our monthly non-fiction reads, our mix of part cocktail party, part creative classroom is a recipe that builds your reading habit while connecting with like minded people.

Delicious drinks are included, as well as engaging storytelling and space for conversations and sharing your own journeys across countries and continents.

Interested? Want to join us at our February event?

Try out the club with Eventbrite - new customers only. Ticket price includes access to the Manchester Rebel Book Club event plus a welcome drink (alcoholic + non-alcoholic options available).

Your host for the evening

Omar Latif

Omar is the founder of an AI startup and also pursuing a PhD in Behavioural AI. One big reason Omar joined RBC is to get away from academic literature, gain knowledge in areas outside of his interests and to have engaging conversations with the awesome community.

There is a clear alliance with the philosophy and taste of RBC as Omar has already read 70% of the books from the Rebel Book Club library!

About Jellyfish Age Backwards: Nature's Secrets to Longevity

A journey from the farthest reaches of the globe to the most cutting-edge research to explore everything the natural world and science have to offer on the mystery of ageing.

From the backwards-ageing jellyfish to the woman who successfully edited her own DNA, biologist Nicklas Brendborg follows the thread of every experiment, story and myth in search of immortality. With mind-bending discoveries and physiological gifts that feel closer to magic than reality, Jellyfish Age Backwards will reshape everything you thought you knew about ageing - and reveal nature's secrets to unlocking your own longevity.
