Rebecca Porter: Born in Guam and raised in Virginia, Rebecca Porter writes unflinchingly personal songs that challenge the boundaries of genre and amplify voices often left out of the country canon. With commanding live performances and a cinematic debut album, Porter’s work invites listeners into stories of identity, resilience, and acceptance. Her 2023 EP Queen of the Local and 2025 debut album Roll With the Punches have earned national and international recognition, including features on NPR’s Mountain Stage, The Bluegrass Situation, KEXP, and Lonesome Highway. Whether on stage or in the studio, Porter’s music speaks directly to those hungry for honest storytelling.
Kai Crowe-Getty: Growing up and making a life in Nelson County, Virginia, Kai has carved out a career writing about the people and landscapes around him. His first show was in middle school and there were polyester shirts, strobe lights, and dancing. He’s been playing music since. When not fronting the rock act Lord Nelson, Kai has supported artists such as BJ Barham (American Aquarium), Joe Pug, Chuck Regan, Andrew Combs, Erin Rea and many others. With a sweeping and moody Americana soundtrack in his recent solo album release "The Wreckage," Crowe-Getty evokes a sense of hopelessness before arriving at something like hope by the end.
