Ready, Set, Borrow! Hands-On Tools for Early Learners (K-2)

Description
As a K–2 teacher, you know how powerful it is when young learners can think, move, and problem-solve through hands-on experiences. This workshop brings that idea to life through a new offering from the AIU STEAM Lending Library: Early Elementary Kits designed specifically for our youngest learners.
You will spend time rotating through four hands-on tools—Bee-Bots, Dash robots, Intelino SMART Trains, and Marble Runs—trying each one out the way your students would. Along the way, we’ll connect these tools to real classroom possibilities across ELA, math, science, social studies, and more, using example activities and guided planning time to spark ideas you can immediately adapt.
Leave with increased confidence and a kit you can borrow and use in your classroom for several months of student use.
No prior experience is needed—just curiosity and a willingness to try alongside others.

What to Bring | A laptop or tablet, if possible.
Who Should Attend | Teachers K-2 whose districts are served by the Allegheny Intermediate Unit and would like to borrow an Early Elementary Lending Library kit customized for our youngest learners.
No prior experience needed.
*IMPORTANT! Teachers may attend in grade-level teams, however, only one person from the team should register. (That person can include their colleagues’ names in the registration process.)
