About this Event
Have you ever wondered what life as a rescue veterinarian or animal rehabilitation specialist is like?
This is your chance to see behind the scenes of the National Aquarium’s Animal Care and Rescue Center and learn what goes into rescuing, rehabilitating and releasing endangered or protected marine wildlife.
Scouts will have the chance to tour the state-of-the-art facility, take part in a simulated sea turtle rescue, and learn about some of the amazing women in this field and the opportunities available to those who are considering this as a career.
All participating Scouts will receive a National Aquarium patch.
- Ages: 11-18 (Cadette, Senior and Ambassador level Girl Scouts)
- Cost: $18 per Scout; chaperones free
- Minimum/Maximum Participation: 12/24 (not including up to 6 chaperones)
