About this Event
Spring in Kentucky also means the start of storm season, making preparedness more important than ever. Join us for a timely conversation with leaders from the American Red Cross and Habitat for Humanity as they share how nonprofit organizations are using technology to better serve communities and respond during times of crisis.
This session will explore how technology supports disaster response, communication, and recovery especially during emergencies like tornadoes and house fires. As we head into spring storm season, you’ll also learn practical steps to keep your household safe, including what supplies should be included in a disaster go-kit and how to create a simple emergency preparedness plan.
We’ll also have weather radios and fire extinguishers available to give away, helping you take immediate steps toward being ready when severe weather strikes.
