Session 3: Drama & Creative Writing with Outside Edge Theatre Company

In this final session, we’re delighted to welcome facilitators from Outside Edge Theatre Company for a relaxed taster session combining drama and creative writing.

Through gentle movement, games and guided writing exercises, you’ll have the opportunity to explore creativity in a supportive and welcoming environment. The session is designed to be accessible and enjoyable for everyone, with no pressure to perform or share, just space to take part at your own pace.

The session will begin with simple introductions and a short insight into Outside Edge Theatre’s work and how drama can support wellbeing. From there, you’ll take part in light, interactive activities before moving into creative writing exercises for reflection and expression.

The session will include:

  • A short introduction to Outside Edge Theatre Company and their approach
  • Gentle icebreakers and themed drama-based games
  • Creative writing exercises inspired by the session activities
  • A relaxed and supportive group environment
  • Refreshments and a chance to reflect and connect with others

This is the final session in a three‑session series delivered in partnership with Violet Melchett Health Hub. The series offers space to reflect, share and take part at your own pace in a relaxed group setting.

No prior experience is needed for any of the sessions. You’re welcome to attend all three or to join individual sessions.
