It's story time at the Seaside Seabird Sanctuary! Bring the kids down for "Reading with Rufous" and meet Rufous, the Sanctuary's resident Eastern Screech Owl, and listen as Avian Hospital Staff member Amy reads a variety of children's stories. "Reading with Rufous" is a fun experience for younger children, and a great way to spend your Saturday morning all while learning about owls and enjoying the rest of the Sanctuary as well. You can have your photo taken with Rufous, and you'll receive a small gift from him too. He can't wait to meet you! "Reading with Rufous" happens every last Saturday of the month and starts at 11am on our beachside Observation Tower. Admission to the Sanctuary is free, and we have parking in our front lot as well behind the Sanctuary.
