Reading on the River returns to the Natchitoches Riverbank on Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., inviting families to spend a day celebrating the joy of reading in one of our community’s most scenic settings.
This free, family-friendly event is designed to immerse young minds in the magic of books while fostering creativity and encouraging a lifelong love of learning. Children can enjoy storytime sessions, hands-on literacy activities, crafts, and interactive experiences that bring stories to life along the riverbank.
Hosted by the Service League of Natchitoches in partnership with Cane River National Heritage Area.
