Readers & Writers Live: Gabriel Bump and Nathaniel Pinkham
Writers Gabriel Bump and Nathaniel Pinkham will read and discuss their work as part of the Readers & Writers Live series.
Readers and Writers Live is a revival of an author reading series that was produced by the now closed Globe Bookshop on Pleasant Street in the 1980’s and 1990’s. The new edition, at the Forbes Library, takes place in the Calvin Coolidge Presidential Library and Museum on the second Wednesday of each month.
This event will also be livestreamed on the Forbes Library YouTube channel. Click here to view.

Nathaniel Pinkham is a writer from New England. He studies at the MFA for Poets and Writers at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, where he is currently a candidate in Prose. His work has appeared in Samjoko Magazine, Jabberwocky, and Honeysuckle Magazine. He lives in Northampton, MA. Pinkham will read “The Fire” an excerpt from his novel, in progress. Set in the fictional town of Peterboro, Vermont, the novel centers on Morris who has just been let go from his job. No longer wishing to live, he rides the bus into town, intending to buy a rope with which to hang himself, when he hears a rumor of massive, near-biblical pillars of fire. Seeing the light, Morris decides to stay his hand, trying to determine if life is a thing truly worth living.
