Read*Create*Imagine: Story Time with a Creative Twist!
About this Event
📖 Read • Create • Imagine: Story Time with a Creative Twist!
Hosted by Neighborhood Learning Center of the CSRA, LLC
Story time just got a creative twist! ✨
Join us for Read • Create • Imagine, a fun and engaging literacy experience designed to encourage children to read, think, imagine, and create!
During this special experience, children will gather for an interactive storytime led by a local educator, talk about the story, explore important literacy skills and ideas, and then use their imagination to create something inspired by what they read. Rather than simply reading a story or completing a traditional craft, children will have the opportunity to connect reading with creativity, problem-solving, self-expression, and imagination.
📚 Why Read • Create • Imagine?
Reading is about more than simply saying the words on a page. Children develop literacy by listening, building vocabulary, making connections, answering questions, expressing their thoughts, and understanding what they read.
Creative activities give children another way to process and express their ideas. When children combine reading + discussion + imagination + hands-on creation, they are practicing important skills while having fun.
Our goal is to create an experience where children can say:
“I read it. I imagined it. I created it!” 🎨✨
