To celebrate World Book Night, The Switch Off is hosting a silent reading session designed to give you the rare luxury of uninterrupted time with a book.

At the start of the evening, guests hand over their phones and settle into a calm, shared space. Everyone reads their own book, at their own pace, in silence - surrounded by others doing the same.

It’s not a book club.
There’s no discussion, no expectations, and nothing to prepare.

Just dedicated time and space to read.

You’ll also enjoy:

🎶 Soft background music to create a calm atmosphere

At the end of the session, you're welcome to stay and chat with others - or quietly head home. You do you.

These evenings are for anyone who:
