Read to Filth

Read to Filth invites you to get filthy in the mangroves of Crandon Park.
Miami's King of Trash Andrew Otazo will lead participants in a coastal trash clean-up through the mangroves. Post clean-up, we’ll gather ‘round Auntie Maim, the Drag Queen of Talking Trash, and poet Nicole Combeau for a lesson on how to read someone to filth through the art of the limerick, a humorous poetic form.
Participants will have the option to read their limerick out loud as a fun and safe way to let go of their own inner trash.
Be prepared: you might hear something that makes you blush!
This event is rain or shine. We encourage you to bring a refillable water bottle, sunscreen, and dress for the outdoors. Gloves and trash bags provided.
