Read by the Dead
About this Event
Read by the Dead brings some of the greatest horror authors back from beyond the grave to share their haunting stories once more.
On Thursday the 29 th of October, the People’s Hall will host:
● M. R James reading one of his most famous ghost stories;
● Mary Shelly retelling a haunting tale of transformation;
● Edgar Allan Poe performing some of his most haunting poems.
The perfect evening for fans of the spooky season. We hope to see you there.
This event will raise money for the Nottingham Historic Building Trust, with proceeds from your ticket going toward restoring The People’s Hall.
Doors open at 7:00pm. The performances run from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm, with a short interval.
Customer notice:
Unfortunately, The People's Hall building is currently inaccessible to wheelchairs.
There is no working toilet at the venue, so please make sure you are comfortable before the show starts. Toilets are available to use at the Broadway Cinema.
Wrap up warm. The building is old and cold.
The bar at the venue will be open and selling hot drinks.
