REACTION and DISRUPTION - live music to short films

For the second year IndieCork is delighted to be working in collaboration with the Contemporary Music Centre to present a showcase of new composition. These composers are given two weeks to produce an accompaniment to a previously unseen ten-minute short film. Like the films themselves, contributors have been chosen for their originality and diversity of styles. Their responses, or reactions, to the visuals will be fresh and surprising.

The Orchestra Of Disquiet is an ensemble of artists and musicians formed at MTU in 2023 and directed by experimental composer-performer Andy Ingamells. They perform new music using objects and unusual hand-built instruments as soundtracks to hand-made analogue films, alongside classics of 20th century avant-garde repertoire by composers like Pauline Oliveros and John White.
