Ever wonder why those you are trying to reach don't approach life the same way that you do? If so, then you might need help in effectively ministering to those living in poverty and will want to join us for the Reaching Those in Poverty Conference. This conference hosted by the Tennessee Baptist Mission Board and the Holston Valley Baptist Association will help anyone in ministry who seeks to understand the poverty mindset and to know how to best minister to those in poverty. On Saturday, March 29th we will meet at East Rogersville Baptist Church (1100 East McKinney Ave., Rogersville) at 9:00 a.m. when Mindy Jamison will discuss Understanding the Poverty Mindset. We will break for a light lunch after which Jon Jamison will teach us How to Best Minister to Those in Poverty. Mindy is the Chief of Staff at Ezekiel Ministries, a ministry for children from hard places. Jon is the Team Leader for the Serve Team of the South Carolina Baptist Convention. Jon and Mindy served together as missionaries for 18 years with the North American Mission Board in an inner city, poverty impacted community.
