Re-Tros was formed in 2003 by Hua Dong (vocals/guitar/synth), Liu Min (vocals/bass/synth/percussion), and Huang Jin (drums/percussion). They are leaders in China’s post-punk and math rock scenes, known for their restrained yet explosive musical style. Their album Before The Applause was produced by renowned producer Hector Castillo, receiving positive feedback from over a hundred international music media and earning multiple record awards.
In 2017, Re-Tros gained widespread acclaim as the supporting act for Depeche Mode’s European tour. In 2018, they were invited to perform at Mad Cool and Bluedot festivals. In 2024, they successfully completed a North American tour with concerts in 8 cities with Battles.
