Join us for the opening reception on Friday, July 17 from 6-8:30pm (Gallery Night MKE!) for Re:Master, a juried fine art exhibition.
The call for artists for Re:Master invited makers to use a well-known artwork as a starting point—not to recreate it, but to respond to it. A famous painting becomes a muse, a reference, or a jumping-off point for something entirely new.
Some works may feel like a clear nod to art history; others may stretch the connection in unexpected ways. Together, the exhibition celebrates how timeless images continue to spark fresh ideas, new perspectives, and contemporary voices.
The originals still matter, but this is about what happens next.
