RE:MAKE festive story cushion workshop

Learn sewing skills using reclaimed fabrics to create a cosy festive cushion with a pocket perfect for a story book or cuddly.
A selection of second hand festive books will be available to furnish your new cushion when you’re done.

Beginners and experienced sewists welcome for this festive fun workshop. Come solo or as an adult/child pair (minimum age 8) Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult at all times as per our standard policies

Volunteer Lucy will be hosting this session. Lucy runs our wonderful sewing club on a Thursday afternoon and has represented RE:MAKE at the Senedd on multiple occasions! She also sells her beautiful handmade crochet and sewn accessories as WelshStitchWitch online and at The Craft Emporium in Newport Arcade.

Things to note:

• Workshops are facilitated and supported by our wonderful team of volunteers and our house rules apply, please be respectful throughout.
• Varying age restrictions apply to our workshops, please see description for information.
• All attendees under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
• Tools required for each session are made available for use at your own risk, please ask for assistance/alternatives if you do not feel confident using them.
• Ticket price includes tea, coffee and biscuits.
• RE:MAKE Newport is a fully accessible venue, if you have any specific access needs please be sure to email or call us prior to the session and we will arrange our space accordingly.
