The Godfather Of Swing,’ Ray Gelato, the son of a G.I., is always on the road with his trusty companion, his classic saxophone. Together, they fill venues around the globe, taking Ray’s unique sound of swing, jazz & R&B to an ever widening and always appreciative audience.

Ray and the band deliver a non-stop, high-energy show that never fails to get an audience on their feet, clapping, singing,and dancing the night away.
Over the years, RAY GELATO And THE GIANTS have had an illustrious career including a long-established residency at London's world-famous RONNIE SCOTT'S, where the guys perform for a week over the Christmas season every year, two sold-out shows a night. It’s the hottest ticket in Soho.
The ‘Godfather of Swing’ has opened for Robbie Williams at London's Royal Albert Hall, performed twice for the late H.M. Queen Elizabeth, played for Paul McCartney (at Paul’s personal request at his wedding), and also many high society and Embassy parties.
Globally, RAY and THE GIANTS have played some of the most prestigious Jazz Festivals to be found anywhere - Montreal, Lincoln Centre New York, Umbria Jazz Italy, and Jo Pop naturally some of the greatest jazz clubs including Birdland New York and Blue Note Milan.
RAY's talent as a songwriter have been rewarded with the track ‘Mambo Gelato’ being featured in the movie ‘NO RESERVATIONS’ starring Catherine Zeta Jones and Aaron Eckhart. Ray's composition is also featured in the movie ‘LAMBORGHINI’ and the TV series ‘THE GODFATHER OF HARLEM.’
Recently Ray had a featured spot with The BBC Big Band for a VE Day Special broadcast on BBC Radio 2.
