Rashaan Rori Allwood, Organ Recital

This organ recital is one of the programs for the American Guild of Organists 2024 National Convention headquartered in San Francisco from June 30 to July 4, 2024. This recital is open to the public, and tickets are not required.

Rashaan Rori Allwood is director of music at St. Ansgar Lutheran Church, Toronto, where he regularly premieres new works, directing choirs and various ensembles. As a soloist, he has toured across Europe, and performed at St. Paul’s Cathedral in London, UK, St. Nikolai-Kirche in Leipzig, Germany and St. Pierre’s Cathedral in Geneva, Switzerland.

Mr. Allwood’s program includes the Pilgrims’ Chorus from Tannhäuser by Richard Wagner, In memory of… (Opus 1a) by Rashaan Allwood, the Adagio from Cello Concerto in e minor by Edward Elgar, and Mazeppa (S 100) by Franz Liszt.
